Obama won, yay! It was an interesting day on the ship. Global studies was pushed back, and most classes ended up being delayed, cancelled, or just about the election. We had it streaming into the union as well as on the closed circuit TV.

Hi Elaine, Congratulations on having NEW president!
My name is Izumi, and I am a grad student of UMB. I am an international student from Japan. I heard about you from your mom when I visited her school to observe. When will you arrive at Kobe, Japan? What do you want to do there? I am from Himeji city where is close to Kobe. Also, Kobe is my city because I graduated from Kobe Univ, and lived there before I came to Boston. I think I can arrange something for you to enjoy Kobe life if you want. Unfortunately, most of my friends and family members can't speak English, however they are all kind and nice. If you want to visit my college, I will introduce my professor for you. If you want to go to see Himeji castle which is the National Treasure, and you have to visit (I think), my mom can take care of you. She is KIMONO instructor, so you can try to wear Kimono too! Please let me know if you are interested in my plan or my friends. Also, you should tell me your requests and schedule! My email address is IZUMI.NISHIDA001@UMB.EDU
Have a nice weekend!
